The body of the mother and son who went missing as result of the yesterday’s Landslide Warakapola Thulbiyadda was recovered today.
Four members of the family father mother and two sons were trapped inside the house as the landslide occurred yesterday, following the continuous raining.
The father identified as Godayalage Premasiri (55) was rescued by the residents and security forces yesterday and was admitted to Warakapola Hospital.
The body of the deceased mother identified as Kannadurayalage Pushparani( 47) was recover during the morning hours. Following that a body of one of the boys was also removed. The boy was identified as Dilashan Dhanushka (23).
The residents and 50 Army soldiers of has resumed search for the second day to find the 10 year old Linum Nimasara who is still missing.
