The bodies of two fishermen who went missing after their boat overturned due to rough sea conditions off Moratuwa have been recovered, a day after the incident, Police said today.
The boat returning after spending a day in the sea had been caught in strong waves.
One of the three fishermen who were on the boat managed to escape by swimming to the shore.
The fisherman who escaped, Eranga Pradeep said he tried to bring one of them along with him, but the attempt failed.
The victims were idenfitied as Prasanga Cooray (39) and Samantha Peiris (52).
