Unidentified persons have broken into the Visa centre for the Indian High Commission located in Bambalapitiya and removed documents on Tuesday night, Police said.
The incident has prompted the closure of the Visa Centre, IVS Pvt Ltd located at Phillip Gunawardena Mawatha, Bambalapitiya.
The Indian High Commission said the centre will remained close until further notice.
The High Commission said all visa applicants have been requested to reschedule their appointments.

Bambalapitiya police is carrying out further investigations.
