An interim order was issued today (12) hindering the Minister of Sports from implementing further measures to revise the Constitution of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) by the Court of Appeal (CA) following a petition filed by the administration of the SLC.

A group of 12 persons, inclusive of former well-renowned Cricketers Muttiah Muralitharan, Sidath Wettimuny, Micheal Tissera, Retired Supreme Court Judge Saleem Marsoof, President’s Counsel (PC) Dinal Phillips, Dr. Palitha Kohona and Rienzie Wijetilleke of Banking fame has filed a petition in February, 2021 before the CA in search of a reformation to the SLC constitution.
