Students injured by a boundary wall at Borella school

Three 16-year-old students have been injured after a boundary wall collapsed at the C.W.W. Kannangara College in Borella, Police said. The students have been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment. Except one of the students remains in critical condition and is receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

 
Technical issue paused the issuance of passports and visas

SLMC CMC member steps down

A Gazette notification has been issued declaring that since the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) member  Fathima Sohara Buhari of the Colombo Municipal Council has stepped down from her post, following disciplinary action by the party, she has ceased to be a council member. She voted in favour of the budget, despite the party deciding to vote against the budget.
