Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, passengers traveling from India will not be permitted to disembark in Sri Lanka with immediate effect, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has stated.
In a letter to SriLankan Airlines dated May 5, Director General of Civil Aviation Capt. Themiya Abeyawickrama has informed that the move was taken in accordance with instructions received by health authorities.
The letter has added that the restriction will be reviewed as early as possible based on instructions from local health authorities.
