The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has instructed LP Gas companies Litro and Laugfs Gas to accept partly used gas cylinders that are suspected to be faulty.
Customers who return such cylinders must be compensated by the company through calculating the market price of the gas left in the cylinder, which must then be deducted from the cost of the new cylinder they will purchase, according to instructions issued by the CAA.
The CAA has also issued a list of numbers to which consumers can complain to in the event a distributor and / or agent refuses to accept partly used cylinders.
