Sixty three persons, majority above 60-years-old, succumbed to Coronavirus on Tuesday(27), Director General of Health Services confirmed on Wednesday(28).
Out of the deceased 35 were males and 28 were females. This increases the total number of deaths from the virus to 4,258. Yesterday also recorded 1940 COVID positive persons, raising concern over the high number of deaths and positive cases.
According to the Health Ministry, 25,782 persons are presently being treated at hospitals.
