Elderly persons (above 60 years old) can make a prior appointment to obtain the COVID vaccine and avoid standing in queues, the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) announced.
CMC’s Commissioner Roshanie Dissanayake said senior citizens in the city are able to make an online appointment via its website www.colombo.mc.gov.lk or through the e-channeling website/mobile app.
One can book a time slot to obtain the Covishield vaccine at New Bazar Maternity Home Premise - Colombo 14, Forbes Lane MCH Center - Colombo 10, MOH District 4 Vaccination Site -Kirula Road - Colombo 5, MOH District 2A Vaccination Site-Ginthupitiya - Colombo 13, MOH District 3 Campbell Park Grounds or MOH District 5 Vaccination Site -Wellawatte – Wellawatte
“Residents who are out of Colombo city (Colombo 1-15) or age below 60 will not be eligible to enter the Vaccination sites despite having an appointment. If your NIC does not have your resident address in the region of Colombo 1-15 you must bring proof of residence with a bill addressed,” the CMC said.
