A car carrying five persons reportedly returning after visiting a night club had bumped a three-wheeler killing its driver on the spot.
Police said that they have commenced search for the driver who had escaped after the accident
The deceased three wheel driver was identified as a 58 year old resident of Kahatuduwa, Polgasovita.
The incident had occurred around 6.30am today when the car which had been driven from Bambalapitiya towards Galle Face had bumped into the three-wheeler and hit a wall in front of an entrance of the house.
One of the women was beaten bystanders among them were persons who narrowly escaped the incident.
The Police Media Spokesman, Nihal Thalduwa said that police have commenced the search for the escaped driver and recorded statements from the two persons traveling in the car which were admitted to the hospita
