Carcasses of Sea Turtles and Dolphins were found washed ashore in the southern coast of Silawathura, Mannar in the past few days, the wildlife Department confirmed.
The incident was reported by fishermen to the Navy who in turn reported to the Wildlife Department) about the sight of lifeless dolphins and sea turtles as well as ones on the verge of death.
The reason for the deaths are yet to be uncovered, remains of the carcasses are under observation, said the Wildlife department.
