The leader of the Unted Republic Front (URF) Patali Champika Ranawaka says, they have decided not to support Sajith Premadasa's Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) in the upcoming General Election.
The URF held a press conference a while ago and announced their decision not to support the SJB in the upcoming General Election, citing the SJB's unilateral breach of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed on August 14, 2024 between the two parties.
According to the URF, the SJB has consistently disregarded key agreements outlined in the MOU during the General Election, leading to a breakdown in trust and collaboration between the URF and SJB.
The General Secretary Bandula Chandraseka, Former Senior President Priyadarshani Ariyarathne, and Vice President Theekshana Gammanpila participated in the press release today.
