A total of 743,775 persons have been given the COVID-19 vaccine from January 29 to date, Health Ministry’s Epidemiology Unit said.
The Unit said yesterday 6,713 persons were immunized. Meanwhile, four COVID deaths were reported on Tuesday increasing the total deaths from Coronavirus to 511.
An 81 year old from Uduvil, a 76 year old from Horape, a 57 year old from Akurana and a 62 year old from Ragama died from COVID pneumonia along with underlying health conditions such as acute diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer and kidney ailments.
Tuesday also recorded 288 COVID positive cases. Sri Lanka has recorded 82,052 COVID positive cases from the second wave.
