Court of Appeal turns down Writ Application to arrest SDIG Tennakoon
The Court of Appeal today dismissed a Writ Application seeking an order to arrest Senior DIG Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon over the incident of assaulting protestors at Galle Face green on May 9, last year.
Senior DIG Tennakoon was accused of failure to prevent mobs attacking the protestors involved in the Aragalaya campaign.
