A criminal gang leader involved in drug trafficking. operating from Dubai has been arrested and brought back to Sri Lanka today.
A team of Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) officials today morning returned with the 31 year old suspect Jayasekara Vithanage Ruwan Chamara alias Midigama Ruwan.
The suspect is the brother-in-law of Harak Kata, a suspect already in custody for his involvement in organised crime.
Midigama Ruwan was arrested in Dubai two months back during a brawl at a night club.
He was a suspect wanted by the international Police – Interpol.
The suspect was brought to the Colombo from the Bandaranaike International Airport under heavy security.
