Dalada Maligawa and Maha Viharas launch special welfare fund
A fund has been launched by the Temple of Tooth and two Maha Vihara as a " Society Development Welfare Fund" with an initial amount of Rs 20 million.
The Diyawadna Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela (Lay custodian of the Tooth Relic) announced that the fund would benefit and secure the welfare of those who had been affected by bad weather.
This announcement was made at the “Ran Auyadha Mandapaya” at the temple of the tooth relic today at a special media briefing.
