The deadline for students who qualified for University entrance based on GCE Advanced Level 2021 results due to end next Monday has been extended until December 30, Chairman University Grants Commission Prof Sampath Amaratunga said.
Students, who gained entrance to University were granted the opportunity to register for universities online by visiting www.ugc.ac.lk site from on December 20.
The minimum Z-scores for universities based on Advanced Level results of the Academic year 2021/2022 were released on December 2, where 41,228 students gained admission to University. The exam which was scheduled to be held in 2021, but was delayed until this year due to the COVID-19 impact.
“We are expecting to start the new batch from January onward. However, the fact that fourth year students are still inside Universities is a problem”, Prof Amaratunga said.
