The debate on the Second Reading of Budget 2024 will commence in Parliament from today (14).
The Second Reading debate will continue for seven days from November 14 to 21 excluding Sundays. The vote on the Second Reading will take place at 6.00pm on November 21.
Thereafter, the Committee Stage debate will be held for 19 days from Wednesday, November 22 to Wednesday, December 13, excluding Sundays. Accordingly, the vote on the Third Reading of Budget 2024 will be held at 6:00 p.m on December 13.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe presented Budget 2024 to Parliament yesterday in his capacity as Finance Minister.
