The Secretary to the Ministry of Trade, Commerce and Food Security M.B.Athapaththu stated that a decision will be taken by the end of this week regarding the prices of eggs.
The decision will be taken following a meeting with the relevant officials by the Ministry.
He further added, the prices of eggs must be regulated immediately because of the unfair trade taking place. At some instances, the prices of egg are rising above Rs.60. Their plan is to bring it down to a level of Rs.50.
