The Governments of Sri Lanka and the Principality of Liechtenstein have decided to establish Diplomatic Relations between the two countries with effect from March 5, the UN Office of the Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations (UN) said.
Mohan Pieris, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations (UN) and Christian Wenaweser, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Principality of Liechtenstein to the United Nations signed relevant documents during a virtual ceremony last week.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
The Presidents’ Entitlements (Repeal) Bill was passed by a majority of 150 in parliament today. However the opposition MP’s were absent during the voting.
