Dr. Ananda Wijewickrama assumed duties as the new President of the Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA) on Saturday (6).
While emphasizing on the gradual decrease of the country’s drug shortage, he added that the medical specialists are prepared to collaborate with the Ministry of Health to alleviate it by providing essential guidance.
Dr. Wijewickrama, a Senior Consultant Physician took up his duties as the 136th President of the SLMA.

The Government today tabled in the House the Report of the Commission to Inquiry into the Establishment and Maintenance of Unlawful Places of Detention and Torture Chambers in the Batalanda Housing Scheme.
