The security deposit made by political parties and independent groups for the postponed 2023 Local Government Election will be refunded, and depositors must submit their applications before February 28, 2025, according to a press release published by the Election Commission today.
The refund will be issued under the Local Government Elections (Special Provisions) Act No. 1 of 2025, passed in February 2025.
To claim the refund, depositors must submit the original receipt and a written request to the respective district election office by February 28, 2025.
Refunds will be processed promptly for applications submitted before the deadline.
