The Election Commission has mandated the immediate removal of all stickers promoting presidential candidates from vehicles, citing violations of Section 74 of the Presidential Elections Act No. 15 of 1981.
Complaints have been received about the display of promotional materials such as signs, stickers, and flags on private vehicles, including buses and three-wheelers. The commission has directed the police to carry out urgent inspections across all jurisdictions to enforce this order.
So far, the Election Commission has received 3,041 complaints related to the presidential election, with 2,947 concerning election law violations and 25 related to acts of violence.
