Residents of Kaluarachchiyagama of the Anuradhapura district experienced a minor earth tremor last night.
Several residents in the area had experienced the loud sound of the tremor during the day as well as at night, said Ranjith Wimalasena, a resident of the area who had experienced the consequences of the tremor first hand; stating that the tiles of the floor of his house were detatched.
Residents of the area reported the incident that occurred around 10:30 p.m. last night to the Galkiriyagama Police and the Palagala Divisional Secretariat, requesting officials to investigate the matter immediately.
