Eleven people, including seven members of the same family in the Nikaweratiya area, have been diagnosed with the corona virus today, according to the Nikaweratiya Medical Officer of Health.
Health officials said the group had been diagnosed with the corona virus after 27 people underwent PCR tests being close associates of five corona infected people found earlier.
The number of corona cases reported from the Nikaweratiya area after the Sinhala and Tamil New Year has now risen to 20, the Health Ministry said.
