All electricity breakdowns will be attended to immediately as only a section of CEB engineers are taking part in the work to rule campaign, a senior official of the Ministry of Power said.
The CEB Engineers’ Union warned that the work-to-rule campaign will have an impact on electricity distribution after office hours.
“It is only junior grade engineers who are on strike. We have received the assurance from senior engineers that they will work to restore power if breakdowns take place after office hours,” he said.
The official said the Ministry is unable to make any decision on the Yugadanavi power plant issue due to an ongoing court case.
