Wet weather conditions across the island are predicted to enhance today (29) owing to an atmospheric disturbance over the Southeast Bay of Bengal Sea area, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Showers or thundershowers are most likely in Northern, Eastern, Southern, North-central, and Uva Provinces as the North-East monsoon is progressively looming over across the island, a Duty Meteorologist of the Met. Department said.
Heavy rainfall over 100mm is possible at certain areas in Eastern, Central, Uva, and Sabaragamuwa Provinces along with Galle and Matara Districts.
Besides, multiple places in the remaining provinces will see showers or thundershowers after 1:00 p.m.
