The Cabinet has approved a proposal to provide 15 kilograms of wheat flour for 115, 867 estate sector families on a monthly basis.
The proposal was submitted by a committee headed by Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardana that was appointed to make recommendations on a Cabinet Memorandum submitted by Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa on January 18 titled ‘Implementation of proposals to minimize economic constraints confronted by public.’
The proposal regarding supplying wheat flour to estate sector families as a form of relief was among the proposals submitted by the Finance Minister through this Cabinet Memorendum.
