Accordingly, Deshabandu Tennakoon, the acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), has released two special circulars in this respect.
Police officers dressed in civilian clothes would be positioned in areas where the public is most likely to congregate, according to Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa.
With holidays being in view, a special train and bus service is set to start on Friday (22).
Starting tomorrow (22), 100 buses will be used for all long-distance travels, according to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB).
