The Federation of University Teachers Association (FUTA) has decided to commence paper marking from today (May 4).
“The decision was taken in a meeting today, considering about the children and their education”, the Spokesman of the FUTA, Senior Lecturer Charudaththe Ilangasinghe told timesonline.
“The Government is utilizing this situation to benefit themselves and we know that we would not be able to win our demands with the current President”, he added.
However, this is only a temporary discontinuation of trade union action, he further stated.
