A father and two of his children were killed last night when their car collided with a tipper on A9 road in Ittavil, Palai, police said.
According to the police, the 38 year old father and two of his children (14,11) were killed at the accident. The driver of the tipper fled from the scene. Kilinochchi police are conducting further investigations over the incident.
The victims are identified as S.Satkunam and his sons Satkunam Saarujan, Satkunam Saarangan. The father was pronounced dead on admission at Jaffna hospital.
