Fifteen Thai women working in Spas in the Colombo district have been detained by the Immigration Department for overstaying their visas, an official said.
The women were taken into custody from the Thunmulla, Kollupitiya and Mt Lavinia after they were found to be exceeding their stay in violation of the visa regulations. They had arrived in the country in November last year.
They are being held at the Welisara detention centre before being deported to their country.
