Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Imesha Muthumala has been appointed as Deputy Director of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for the first time in the history of the department, Police said.
Her appointment was authorized by the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security.
SSP Muthumala joined the department in 2007 as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and later promoted to higher positions within the department.
