A five member committee headed by Senior DIG Ajith Rohana has been appointed to investigate the Kotmale bus accident.
Acting IGP Priyantha Weerasooriya has appointed the Committee.
Meanwhile the death toll in the accident has increased to 23 after another 21 year old passenger succumbed to his injuries yesterday.
In a related development another bus accident was reported on Monday night in Aladeniya, Kandy where 37 persons were injured.
They were a group who had arrived to view Vesak decorations.
