The Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella was admitted to the Prisons Hospital within the Welikada Prison premises, Prison’s authorities said.
Prison's Commissioner and Media Spokesman Gamini Bandara Dissanayake said that the Minister was taken to the Magazine Prison for registration and thereafter his medical reports were handed over to the medical specialists at the prison, and afterwards was referred to prisons hospital.
Mr Rambukwella who currently held the Environment Minister post was arrested and produced before Maligakanda Magistrate courts and was remanded until February 15 over the import of substandard human Immunoglobulin.
