Former MP Ven Baddegama Samitha thera passes away

News

Former MP Ven Baddegama Samitha thera passed away today (30) while receiving treatment for COVID19 at a hospital in Matara.

He entered politics by contesting local elections in 1991 and then contested the Provincial elections in 1997.

He was a member also of the last Provincial Council in the south.

He was a Lanka Sama Samja Party member.
