Former Minister Dayashritha Tissera has obtained the membership of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya.
He has been appointed as the SJB organizer for the Nattandiya electorate in the Puttalam district.
He is the son of late Protus Tissera who first contested elections from the Nattandiya electorate in 1965 from the SLFP. He was unsuccessful at that election, but in the 1970 election he was successful.
