Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and his son Namal Rajapaksa have mourned the death of former Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.
“Deeply saddened by the passing of former Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. A visionary economist and the architect of India’s economic liberalization, his contributions shaped a new era for India. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the people of India,” Mr Rajapaksa sad in a ‘X’ message.
MP Namal Rajapaksa in a ‘X’ message said;
“Former Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was a visionary leader who strengthened India’s economy and fostered strong ties with Sri Lanka. My deepest condolences to his family and the people of India.”
