A French national was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport today with gold bars and jewellery valued at Rs 85 million, a Spokesman for the Sri Lanka Customs said.
The man was in possession of for four kilo grams and 611 grams of gold in total.
He had arrived from Paris on a SriLankan flight today morning.
