Arrangements have been made to increase the quantity of fuel distributed during the festive season to 4650 metric tonnes of Petrol 92 and 5500 metric tonnes of Auto Diesel per day, Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.
He said data has shown that fuel sales have increased through the National Fuel Pass QR system.
“Overall percentages which were below 60 percent last week have improved to above 80 percent with the temporary suspension of 66 fuel stations that did not adhere to the NFP QR guidelines” , the Minister said.
