Residents at Galle protested over the increasing cost of living, power cuts, the shortage of gas and fuel, yesterday.
The residents carried out the protest at the Wakwella junction on the galle main road during yesterday night. They carried fire torches and placed an empty gas cylinder in the road and shouted that the cost of living had reached unbearable heights.
They called on the government to resign and appoint persons who are capable of resolving this economic crisis.
