The cabinet had given the go ahead to enter into a Memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Bandaranaike International DiplomaticTraining Institute and foreign Service Institute of the Republic of Philippines to facilitate the conducting of education, research and training programs in the diplomatic field.
The MOU would also allow exchange of expertise among foreign service officers with the objective of developing and uplifting the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The proposal made by Minister Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, Vijitha Herath had been approved by the cabinet.
