A guide who exploited a tourist from New Zealand by charging Rs 150,000 for a city tour by three-wheeler has been remanded by the Colombo Chief Magistrate until November 13.
The arrest was made following a complaint to the Tourism Police.
The guide was identified as Thilana Madhushan from Delgoda.
Police investigations revealed that the guide had claimed that a dollar was equal to Rs 4,500.
