The high cost to verify data of persons eligible for social welfare benefits has caused concern of the Government, a senior official said.
Initial estimates show that for the first round of verification of the data the cost is expected to be around Rs 88 million and for the second round a similar amount is to be spent.
The first round of expenses is to collect data from 589,400 households.
Rs 300 is to be paid to each house for the two round of verification process.
