In view of the Value Added Tax (VAT) increase coming into effect tomorrow (January 1).
Dialog Axiata PLC has announced details of the increase.
The notice said:
Please be informed that, due to the increase in VAT from 15% to 18% announced by the government, Taxes applicable on all Mobile, Mobile Broadband, Fixed Broadband, Pay Television and value-added services have been increased accordingly, with effect from 01/01/2024.
However, in a few Prepaid Data cards, the data quota was reduced and tax inclusive price remains unchanged.
Full details of the taxes applicable of various mobile plans could be obtained from the Dialog website.
