The Ceylon Electricity Board Engineers' Union (CEBEU) held a protest today in front of the CEB Head Office in Colombo condemning the appointment of what they claim is a "corrupted person" as the CEB's General Manager.
The union, which has commenced a 'work-to-rule' campaign over the issue, threatened to escalate it further and go for a strike if the decision is not reversed. They also called on the CEB Chairman to resign.
