In Pictures: Salvage operation to remove wreck of X-Press Pearl
A major salvage operation is now underway to remove the wreck of container vessel X-Press Pearl. China's Shanghai Salvage Company is engaged in salvaging debris from the seabed and refloating the wreck.
These pictures of the salvage operation being conducted near the coast were taken from Kepungoda Beach today (21).
