Security around Catholic churches throughout the country have been tightened ahead of the second anniversary of the Easter Sunday attacks which falls tomorrow.
There is heavy security in churches and surrounding areas, with heavily armed police and security forces personnel deployed in the vicinity of churches. All those entering churches are being subjected to security checks.
A two minutes' silence will be observed at 8.45am tomorrow in remembrance of the victims. It was at 8.45am that the first suicide attack occurred at St. Anthony's Church, Kochchikade.
Church bells will be rung at 8.45am, followed by the two minutes' silence. Afterwards, candles and oil lamps will be lit in remembrance of the lives that were lost that day.
The main remembrance event this year will take place at St. Anthony's Church in Kochchikade.
