Health authorities have now begun vaccinating members of the public in the Western Province with the Oxford AstraZeneca COVID vaccine.
The vaccination drive in the province has been accelerated after a new varient of COVID-19 previously seen in the UK and other countries was detected from several places in the Western Province.

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
