The large fire that erupted at the Kerawalapitiya garbage dump last evening was completely brought under control today.
Several fire engines were deployed to douse the fire while the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) also deployed a helicopter to carry out a "bambi bucket" operation to fight the fire.
